• Historic structure :: progressive people

In 1885, the new Grace Episcopal Church sanctuary was constructed of hand-hewn timbers, by the skill of artisans and the grace of God. 100 years later, this carpenter gothic building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places and its congregation called the Rev. Sallie Shippen as the first woman to serve as rector in the Diocese of Western Oregon.

  • Community Use of Space at Grace

Local groups meet regularly at Grace and/or schedule special events in our space. We have a licensed commercial kitchen, and a large meeting hall. If your group is looking for a place to gather, please contact us for more information.

    God in Creation

In a thin place we feel the veil between heaven and earth might be permeable. Here, where the earth is so beautiful, the waters so powerful, and the sky is always changing, you too may feel the presence of God in the wildness of this place.

  • Lettering on an old sign reads: Come in and pray for our country and its allies for the President and Congress for the Army and Navy for our dear ones for our enemies for all men for peace.

    Times change

This old sign was found with archival papers of our parish. We don’t know exactly when it was hand-painted, but in the many decades since, our work here has changed only by growing more inclusive.
